Amateur Radio is a perfect hobby for experimenting with digital signal processing. From the sub-audio frequencies (motor control), to audio frequency, HF, UHF, VHF, and beyond depending on application and technology. Digital signal processing is everywhere. Digital signal processing is in your cell phone, your car, your television, everywhere. Most Amateur Radio operators now own a communications transceiver that use digital signal processing to realize what is known as Software Defined Radio (SDR) . This is a good reason for Amateur Radio operators to learn about digital signal processing.
I am not an expert in digital signal processing. I have used digital signal processing in my profession, but I am always learning how to apply digital signal processing in my Amateur Radio hobby. Here I plan to document some of the experimentation I am working on.
